W3 | Depth Over Reach

REFERENCE BIBLE VERSE

John 4:39-42 (ESV) | Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, … they asked Him to stay with them, … and many more believed because of His word. They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.”

OBJECTIVES

To understand that our goal is to introduce people to Jesus Himself, not just to His teachings or ideas.
To understand that Jesus prioritized deep relationships with a few rather than chasing large crowds.

CONTENT

Christianity Isn’t a Sales Pitch

Intentional with the Few, Not Chasing the Crowd

CONCLUSION

Modern culture often measures influence by reach—how many people follow, watch, or listen. Jesus measured influence differently. He valued depth over reach.

He did not ask people merely to agree with His teachings. He invited them into relationship with Himself. And He did not chase the biggest crowds. He was intentional with the few, trusting that true multiplication would flow from depth.

When we follow His pattern, we stop treating the gospel like a sales funnel. We begin introducing people to a living Person. And we learn to invest deeply in the few God has placed in front of us—knowing that this is how influence multiplies in the Kingdom.
