W1 | Holy Spirit, Our Helper

REFERENCE BIBLE VERSES

‭‭

John 14:16-17 (NIV) | “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him or knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

Romans 8:26 (NIV) | “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”

Acts 1:8 (NIV) | “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

OBJECTIVE

To see the Holy Spirit as our personal agent of transformation and evangelization as believers.

To understand that obedience under the Holy Spirit’s lead is key to unlocking God’s mission for our lives.

CONTENT

Rather than just a distant force, the Holy Spirit is an active and present guide with whom we can come into close fellowship. He gives us boldness and confidence, strengthens us in our weaknesses, and activates our calling for impactful living. Yet, this empowerment goes beyond personal gain. Building intimacy with the Holy Spirit is the foundation for becoming an effective witness of Christ.
